Davis Associates was founded in 1986 by Gary Davis. The company is now one of the UK's leading human factors consultancies, with a reputation for delivering effective design solutions on time and to a very high standard. |

Davis Associates' peopleDavis Associates is structured around our team of three directors:
Gary DavisMA BSc FErgS FCSD EurErg • Managing Director Gary has a long career in applied human factors consultancy beginning with four years at Ogle Design Ltd before forming Davis Associates. Gary is a Fellow of The Ergonomics Society and the Chartered Society of Designers. In addition to leading the company, Gary was a member of the international committee responsible for the development of ISO11064: Ergonomics Design of Control Centres and has held a number of committee posts within The Ergonomics Society. He is also a visiting tutor at Central St Martins School of Art and Design and is a member of the Sign Design Society and the Usability Professionals' Association.
Andy BakerMPhil BSc FErgS • Director Andy began his career in the automotive sector with Jaguar Cars before moving to the ergonomics team at Leyland DAF Trucks. He joined Davis Associates in 1994, becoming a Director in 2000. Andy is a Fellow of The Ergonomics Society, for whom he led the London Ergonomics Group. He is also a member of the Sign Design Society and Usability Professionals' Association.
Karen DavisBSc • Financial Director Karen joined Davis Associates in 1991 to oversee the company’s financial and personnel affairs. Karen’s background is in management consultancy with three years at Touche Ross, following on from six years in a number of senior management roles.
Our team has a broad range of project experience and includes Senior Consultants, Consultants and Analysts. All consultancy staff are members of The Ergonomics Society and hold approved qualifications in ergonomics to first degree or masters level. Our permanent team is also supported by associates with specialised skills to meet the needs of each project, including: • Participant recruitment • Production of screen-based simulations • Product and graphic design • Mock-up construction |
